Description:

Whether beginning in web design or a Dreamweaver guru, we all need to know HTML - HyperText Markup Language. It is the "Language of the Web".

Learn to create web pages, format text, use headers, use special characters, insert horizontal rules, all types of links, insert and manipulate graphics, create tables, create forms, use frames, and more.

   
Prerequisites: Must have good basic typing and computer skills, including navigating your desktop and using the mouse. This course is delivered through the Internet. Must be able to use the Internet to get to & navigate the course lessons.
   
 
 
System Requirements:

Must have an Internet connection and be able to use the Internet to get to and navigate the course lessons. Your computer should:

  • Have an Internet connection
  • Have a browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, etc.
  • Have a text editor
    • For Windows users: You will use Notepad which comes with all versions of Windows
    • For Mac users: You will use Simple Text which comes with most versions of MAC
  • Be able to display .avi, QuickTime (.mov), and Flash video files
   
Certificates Available:

Upon satisfactorily completing this course with a grade of 75 or higher, the student will receive:

  • Completion Certificate issued by the Spring Branch Independent School District
  • 36 Hours CPE Credit issued by the Spring Branch Independent School District

Method of evaluating student performance includes:

  • Lesson quizzes
  • Student exercises/projects uploaded to the instructor for grading and comment
